1. Seville
A visit to the Andalucian capital means discovering rich architecture while also diving into Spanish tapas, flamenco, and toro.
The city of Seville has my heart. It is probably one of my favorite cities we visited while living and traveling through Spain. From delicious tapas to Moorish palaces, vibrant streets, and countless parks; Seville is a great destination to wander and has a way of capturing your heart.
Seville is a city full of beautiful architecture, vibrant history, and some of the most delicious food. The bustling plazas, orange-scented courtyards, and flamenco dancing make Seville a city that should be on everyone’s Spanish itinerary.
And to top it all off, Sevilla hosts three UNESCO world heritage sites: the gorgeous Alcázar Palace, the famous Sevilla Cathedral, and the General Archives of the Indias (home to the history of the Spanish Empire).
If it’s modern art you’re after, visit the Metropol Parasol, an enormous wooden structure made from six parasols. Or if you are looking to have a relaxing afternoon, spend some time at Plaza de España (one of my favorite places in the city).
Wander through Barrio Cruz, one of Seville’s most vibrant quarters, or visit Palacio de las Dueñas, one of Sevilla’s most stunning sights; in spring and summer, you’ll find it covered in vines of bright pink flowers.

From Gaudi to Messi, beaches to churches, fine art to iconic parks, siestas to delicious tapas; Barcelona has something to offer everyone. Because of its location on the eastern coastline of Spain, it’s both a beach town and an amazing place to explore architecture, culture, and food.

San Sebastián is one of the most beautiful coastal cities in Spain. Known as ‘Donostia’ in Basque, this coastal city is located just 20 km from the Southern French border and attracts visitors from all over the world. Tourists flock to the city for the pintxos (similar to tapas).
Because of its location on the coast, San Sebastián’s is well known for its fresh seafood, its water activities, and its world-class beach. The crescent-shaped La Concha beach, with its fine white sand and clear turquoise waters, is one of San Sebastián’s top attractions
Wander through the Old Town where you’ll find the Basilica of Santa María del Coro and some historic restaurants where you can indulge in some pintxos. The city also offers plenty of cultural events and picturesque promenades.
To get an unmatched view of the city, head up to Monte Igueldo on the funicular and take in panoramic views from the lookout point or the El Torreón tower.
Some must-try foods in San Sebastián are Foie Gras, Basque Cheesecake, Txuleta (aged grass-fed beef), Salt Cod, and Tortilla. If you have time on your hands, take a food tour in San Sebastián. The region is also home to plenty of Michelin-starred restaurants. Just be sure to book in advance to avoid disappointment.

One of the most popular sights in Zaragoza is the Catedral-basílica de Nuestra Señora del Pilar de Zaragoza, or Pilar for short. It is considered one of the most significant churches of its kind in all of Spain. The basilica is located in the center of Zaragoza.

11. Ronda
The city of Ronda flaunts majestic views and definitely deserves a spot on the list of the most beautiful cities in Spain. The city is built on cliffs overlooking the Tajo Gorge.
The famous Puente Nuevo bridge spans the 390-foot-deep gorge connecting the two sides of the city. This bridge is an iconic landmark in Spain and it’s one of the most popular things to see in Ronda.
Ronda is home to an arena, museum, and a lively plaza dedicated to the controversial Spanish tradition of bullfighting. Right next to the bullfighting arena and Plaza de Toros, you’ll find one of the best lookout spots in the city, Mirador de Ronda.
Ronda is a popular day trip from Seville. It provides a very picturesque and relaxing atmosphere.

Located in Spain’s north-eastern Catalonia region, Girona is a charming city with around 2000 years of history known for its medieval architecture and walled Old Quarter.

Make sure you catch the multi-colored buildings that sit along the River Onyar, these are a must-see destination.
13. Cadiz
This city is one of those low-key places that is well worth visiting. Cadiz is full of history, architecture and beautiful beaches. You can explore the historic center or treasures like the Cathedral, or catch a beautiful sunset from La Caleta beach. Either way Cadiz is out to impress.
Some notable points of interest in Cadiz are the Tavira Tower, the Roman Theatre, El Populo and Castel San Sebastian, and Castel Santa Catalina.
