About Me – How It All Started

Hi and welcome to Travel and Taste with Tracy!

My goal is to help you plan that perfect trip or create a delicious recipe from the convenience of your own kitchen. So it was only natural to document everything on this blog to give you easy access to travel guides, tips, and mouth – watering recipes. I also talk about traveling with kids and how that is 100% achievable. I hope that my detailed guides and itineraries will help streamline your travel process. I’m all about smart planning and I want to make it that easy for you to plan your perfect trip. 
It’s nice to have you in my little corner on the web. Travel and Taste with Tracy is a travel and food blog inspiring you to live a life that isn’t bound by limitations. Here you’ll find everything from travel guides and tips, to delicious recipes from all around the world. Besides that, I write about what’s close to my heart.

My Story

I’m Tracy, a travel and food blogger and life enthusiast.

I’ve lived in beautiful Auckland, New Zealand for over 20 years and every day I feel so grateful to call this place home. My passion for travel and food started as a kid and stems from my curiosity of exploring new countries, experiencing new cultures and trying different cuisines.

Soon after I met the love of my life we started exploring the world together and began our love affair with travel and food. From Australasia, Europe, the United States and Asia, we continue to spend time exploring new places whenever we can.

In July 2018, we took a sabbatical and embarked on an incredible journey along with our 3-year-old. We spent just under 6 months in Europe and split our time in Eastern Europe,  South of France, Portugal and finished off with 3 glorious months in Spain. It was by far our best experience and I highly recommend you do this at least once in your lifetime! You will cherish and remember every single moment, every single meal, every single day!
When I’m not travelling, I love spending time with my husband and my two kids who are my number one love and passion. I love baking and cooking and through this blog you’ll find some of my tried and tested recipes, some of which have come about from my journey.
